Wellness at Concorde

We're committed to helping individuals make a positive impact on their lives through exercise and behavioral changes. We offer wellness education classes to members and the community on a regular basis. These programs are presented by physicians, allied health professionals, and other respected professionals. Topics include:

Our members also receive a quarterly newsletter, which, in addition to news and program information, includes articles on various health and wellness issues.

successful weight loss and lifestyle modificati­on may be effectively addressed through the Pyramid Concept. This approach addresses change through coordinated efforts in the areas of  Nutrition, Exercise, and Behavior modification. There are no gimmicks here -ast logical application of sound physiological principles which can lead to a lifetime change.

 

Nutrition

The first component of any weight loss program is nutritional change. To lose weight, the body needs to take in fewer calories than it burns in caloric expenditure.

Gimmick diets are not the answer for a lifetime change. Positive results depend on a good  sound nutritional plan that is enjoyable and easy to follow.

 

Behavior Modification

Behavior modification involves the ability to learn and apply principles of proper eating that will last a lifetime. Our 10 week program involves weekly educational classes and a support group which reinforces behavior change, offers helpful tips, and provides a forum to share frustrations, success strategies, and DELICIOUS, HEALTHY recipes.

 

Exercise

The U.S. Surgeon General recently issued a report, which clearly identified the increasingly sedentary lifestyle found among Americans as a significant health risk. At Concorde Health & Wellness, overcoming your inactivity the right way is very important to us. Our qualified fitness staff members evaluate each participant, assist in establishing personal fitness and performance goals, and implement a structured exercise program which enhances weight loss activities, as well as musculoskeletal health.
