In your gut, you know when there is a problem that just won’t get better. You can’t quite control your location. With every throw
your pain reminds you that it’s there, or gets a little worse with each throw. Don’t wait -- it may cost you some, most or all
of your season.
What is your fist step? Contact your family doctor. He or she will probably refer you to Physical Therapy. Remember, we are the only therapy clinic in a multi-county area offering baseball-specific rehabilitation with therapists specializing in shoulder and throwing injuries.
If, by chance, your doctor recommends that you take time off and see them again at the end of that “rest period” (usually 2-4 weeks), ask them for a referral to Concorde Therapy Group.
The baseball season is, at best,
3 months long, you don’t want to miss 1/3 of the season waiting to see if your pain will get better. In most cases, we can rehabilitate
you without completely stopping your activities. This gives you the greatest opportunity to return to the game at 100% in the shortest
time possible.
If your problem needs the care of a specialist, we work with the best. We can refer you to the physician who best cares for your type of problem. So if you need therapy, we are the place you really want to go to. Concorde Sports Medicine has assembled a comprehensive team of experts in the management of throwing problems. If you need a referral to a physician specializing in baseball injuries, we know where you should go. Give us a call.
